Do you install antivirus software as part of the service?
Yes, if you don't already have protection, we can recommend and install something appropriate.
Do Macs get viruses too?
Yes, less commonly than PCs but it does happen, and Macs are not immune to malware or adware.
What are the signs my computer has a virus or malware?
Common signs include: unexpected pop-ups or ads even when your browser is closed, programs launching on their own, noticeably slower performance, your browser homepage or search engine changing without you doing it, unfamiliar programs you don’t remember installing, and your antivirus being disabled without your action. Any one alone isn’t definitive, but several together are a strong signal.
Will removing malware delete my files?
We aim to remove the infection without affecting your personal files, though a full backup beforehand is always recommended.
